Cut onions, mushrooms, cabbage and radishes into strips. Dry the tofu with a kitchen towel and cut into 1 cm cubes.

Mix the egg and flour with salt and pepper and add the vegetables and tofu. Interfere.

Heat a pan with a diameter of 23 centimeters, over medium heat, with a little olive oil. Pour the composition and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until it is completely cooked and golden.

For pickles, cut the cucumber lengthwise into 2 halves. Remove the seeds with a teaspoon and cut not very thin slices. Mix with the rest of the ingredients.

Okonomiyaki (Giant Japanese Pancake) - Recipes

I am a telescope noob so this may be a dumb post but I was wondering if you guys could help me identify and then possibly modernize this 1, 2, 3 Celestron scope. From what i am told it is about 20 years old. The motor drive does not work but the rest looks to be in good condition. I know a solid base is important but this thing weighs over 80 pounds when assembled and i would like to make it more portable. I would like to be set up for astrophotography and to be used by my girlfriends students. Thank you for any input you can provide.

Thank you all! I learned more about this scope in an hour than I could have in days researching on my own.

If you are the slightest bit mechanical, you could take this apart pretty easily and try to fix the motor drive. They are surprisingly simple once you get them apart. There are probably lots of online tutorials for how to do this.

I am slightly above average so I plan to give it a go.

As others have rightly identified, this is A Celestron C8 Ultima. My club had one in the loaner program which I borrowed for several months at one time. I LOVED it. Easy to use and beautiful views.

Thereâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; s something to be said for keeping itâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; s and just repairing it so that it works. While not equipped for GoTo, itâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; s still a very good instrument and very capable in the hands of a knowledgable user.

& quotModernizing & quot it would be difficult, as there arenâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; t many upgrade kits out there that Iâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; m aware of that wouldâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; t require essentially removing it from the fork and putting it on another mount. Thatâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; s a valid option, but not something Iâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; t recommend. Also, a suitable mount wouldnâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; t be particualrly cheap. You COULD put it on a CG-5 or AVX, but I would personally recommend keeping it on the mount itâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; s on.

[Wave & # x27s hand in a swirling motion] This is not the scope youâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; re looking for.

While there are some people using scopes like this for AP, itâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; s really not the ideal scope for the job. not by a long shot. Iâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; t saying it can be done, but an f / 10 SCT is not your best option, especially for a newcommer to AP.

The longer your focal lenght the more susceptible to tracking error you are, which limits your exposure times to much shorter exposures. But the longer focal length means that you need to take a much longer exposure to get the same level of brightness you would with a shorter focal length scope. If you have one 8 & quot scope that & # x27s an f / 5 and another that & # x27s an f / 10, they both gather the same amount of light - thatâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; s a function of the aperture. But the f / 10 telescope, in magnifying it, spreads that light out over four times the area (itâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; s a squared function), which causes it to appear much dimmer. It would take you 4 minutes to take an image of an object and be as bright as a 1 minute exposure of the same object through the f / 5 scope. And because your tracking error is magnified along with the image, if you could only take a 60 second image before tracking error became noticable, at f / 5, then at f / 10 you can only get away with a 15 second image. This is why a shorter focal length / ratio is considered a & quotfaster & quot scope.

If you wanted to use a telescope like this one for AP, you would really want a MUCH better mount, something capable of handling the weight of the telescope, the camera, a guide scope and camera, and all the hardware needed and be able to track much more accurately. A mount to do this is likely to run you at least $ 2,000 (in-theory a cheaper mount like a CGX or EQ-G could do it, but for this weight budget it & # x27s still pretty iffy).

You CAN get focal reducers to drop your focal length down (typically to f / 6.3), but thatâ & # x20AC; & # x2122; s really not enough to be able to make this scope good for imaging.

It WOULD be good for lunar or planetary imaging, just not for deep-sky. But lunar / planetary is really 4 or 5 targets total. Still, that WOULD be possible with this scope as it is.

Bobby Flay sells cookbooks. He has a loyal fan base. That fan base includes my dear ol ’paw, who tells me weekly what he’s cooking from Bobby Flay Fit, which I got him last Christmas. So obviously, this year he’s getting Bobby at Home. Bobby looks just as fit on this cover, dousing some pasta with olive oil, which my dieting dad will have to ignore. Before I wrap it, I’m making an illegal photocopy of the Crispy Coconut-Scallion Rice and the Eleven-Layer Potato Gratin with Caramelized Shallots and the Rice Pudding with Rum Raisin Caramel Syrup and the Cornmeal-Chive Biscuits. Maybe I’ll. keep this copy for myself.

I know it’s not technically a cookbook but it’s too cute to pass up. "I'm a Baked Potato!" is a hilarious tale of a dog with an identity crisis. It’s about individuality and finding where your home is, quite literally, because the dog gets lost. And yes, it’ll make you crave a baked potato with a melted pat of butter and blob of sour cream. Give this book with a sack of Russets to an unsuspecting child. They’ll figure it out, eventually.

Japanese cuisine

Japanese cuisine it includes regional and traditional foods from Japan that have developed over the centuries of political, economic and social change. Traditional Japanese cuisine (Japanese: Washoku ) is based on rice with miso soup and other dishes focuses on seasonal ingredients. Garnishes often consist of fish, pickled vegetables and vegetables cooked in broth. Seafood is common, often grilled, but also served raw as sashimi or in sushi. Seafood and vegetables are also fried in a light dough, like tempura. In addition to rice, a staple includes noodles such as stove and udon. Japan also has many low-fat dishes, such as fish products in broth called oden or beef in sukiyaki and nikujaga .

Historically influenced by Chinese cuisine, Japanese cuisine has also opened up to the influence of Western cuisines in the modern era. Foods inspired by foreign foods - especially Chinese dishes - such as ramen and gyōza , as well as foods such as spaghetti, curry and burgers, have been adapted to Japanese tastes and ingredients. Traditionally, the Japanese avoided meat because of Buddhism, but with the modernization of Japan in the 1880s, meat-based dishes such as tonkatsu and yakiniku they have become common. Japanese cuisine, especially sushi and ramen, has become popular around the world.

In 2011, Japan surpassed France to become the country with the most starred Michelin restaurants since 2018, the capital Tokyo maintained the title of city with the 3 most starred restaurants in the world. In 2013, Japanese cuisine was added to Unesco's list of intangible heritage.

Issen Yoshoku & # 8212 The Origins of Western Food in Japan

Issen Yoshoku is located in Gion and serves a variation of the popular dish, okonomiyaki. Issen Yoshiku combines a comical interior with a one dish menu. It is a popular destination for locals and tourists. While somewhat kitschy, at Issen Yoshoku you can taste what is said to be the original & # 8216Western food & # 8217 in Japan. Plus, a tasty meal for 630 yen in Gion is a real bargain!

Issen Yoshoku & # 8212 & # 8216Western food & # 8217

Teppanyaki, okonomiyaki and takoyaki are dishes well loved by Japanese that are cooked on an iron griddle. Okonomiyaki and takoyaki you may not be familiar with. And if you are visiting the Kanto area (Tokyo), you will have a chance to try monjyayaki (but it sucks).

The original & # 8216Western food & # 8217 (食 食, yoshoku) in Japan, at least that eaten by commoners, was defined as something made with wheat flour (merikenko, literally American powder) and / or & # 8216sauce & # 8217, as in the (very Japanese) sauce used on this dish. This dish was called Issen Yoshoku (one 銭, one sen would be about 1 U.S. cent and literally 食 is literally & # 8216Western food & # 8217)

The owner of Issen Yoshoku, Tatsuo Kinoshita started some 30 years ago. He wanted to serve the original Western food in Japan that during the Taisho Period (early 1900 & # 8217s) cost about 1 U.S. cent and was sold by street vendors and served in news paper.

Issen Yoshoku is both the name of the dish and the name of this restaurant. The owner trademarked the name by using a very old Chinese character for & # 8216one & # 8217 (& # 8216 壹 & # 8217 old, & # 8216 一 & # 8217 modern). So, 銭 洋 食 & # 8217s 一 銭 洋 食 is very famous! Now if you didn't get that, don't worry!

Issen Yoshoku consists of a wheat flour based batter cooked like a crepe on the griddle (see photo below), chopped scallions, egg and thinly sliced pork are added and after cooking for 7 or 8 minutes half is folded over and cooked for a bit more then served garnished with lots of sauce and strips of Cloudiness.

The owner of Issen Yoshoku is quite a jokester, starting with the menu. The bright red menu is gigantic and when you open it, the only dish served is prominently displayed.

The interior is hot and heavy with sexual innuendo, however it isn & # 8217t sleazy. The owner says that as he grew up in Gion, as a child he saw the entire world of adults, the & # 8216front and the back & # 8217 and while Gion was not and is not a redlight district, after food and drink, sex is often next on the menu, so to speak.

At each table in the establishment is a cute, young kimono clad mannequin, to keep you company. The owner says it is to trick drunken men as they pass by at night, they see what appears to be cute single young ladies all alone and step in for a bite to eat. I highly doubt that anyone is really fooled. Many of the modern drinking establishments in Gion are & # 8216hostess bars & # 8217 where young gals keep the male patrons company while they drink. These bars are often very expensive, Issen Yoshoku on the other hand is a very reasonably priced place, so the gals are just mannequins!

On the walls are ema (絵 馬) these small wooden plaques are a staple of Shinto shrines. They are purchased then a wish or prayer is written on them, then it is hung up to receive the blessing of the gods. Here at Issen Yoshoku, there are a few hundred of them on the walls, all on the theme of sex. (See below) The owner says that even the jaded police officers that come in for a bite from the police box around the corner just laugh.

Issen Yoshoku & # 8217s match books are a real scream. Be sure to pick some up for a one of a kind souvenir for everyone back home!

I have never eaten in a place like this and I can & # 8217t imagine that there is anything like this elsewhere in Japan. The sexual innuendo is pervasive, but being in the style of an era past, it has a charm to it, it is refreshing. Though Issen Yoshoku is a very popular destination for junior high school and senior high school students on their school excursions, all the innuendo doesn & # 8217t bother anyone, illustrating Japanese attitudes about sexuality in an interesting way.

The drinks offered are also of this era gone by. I had hiyashi ame (literally, cold candy). This is a sweet, ginger based drink that is great in summer. There is also ramune (lemonade), a very light, lemon flavored carbonated drink. These drinks were the Coca-Cola of Japan 80 or 100 years ago.

I am not big on okonomiyaki, or kitsch, but I have always liked Issen Yoshoku. If you are in Kyoto for a few days and want to try something quite out of the ordinary & # 8212 and very reasonably priced in Gion, try Issen Yoshoku. Take out is also available.

Additional sauce is available spicy (辛 口) and sweet (甘 口)

hiyashiame (cold sweet ginger drink)

My dining companion & # 8212 she didn & # 8217t say much!

Next to the entry, this has become the symbol of Issen Yoshoku.

Egg: The egg, as you can probably see in the photos is very runny, pretty close to raw. Again, I have never had any trouble with raw egg and it does go very well with Japanese food.

Asta and Yuno are orphans who were raised together from birth after being abandoned at a church orphanage on the outskirts of the Clover Kingdom at the same time. In a world where everyone has the natural ability to perform a kind of magic, or a Magical Power (魔力 Maryoku), Asta is the only person born without any, leading him to train physically as compensation. Conversely, Yuno was born as a prodigy with immense magical power and the talent to control it. When they are 15, Asta and Yuno are granted the ability to become wizards known as Magic Knights by receiving grimoires, with which all magical power is channeled. Yuno is granted a wind-based grimoire held by the kingdom's first Wizard King, while Asta does not receive one. However, when a thief incapacitates Yuno to try and sell his grimoire on the black market, Asta summons his own grimoire, which contains the rare and mysterious Anti-Magic (enabling him to cancel out all magical effects), to defeat him. The story then follows the two boys in their time within separate squads in the Magic Knights, as they build a friendly rivalry to try and become the Wizard King themselves.
